What makes the perfect candle? We are emailed daily on our candles. How are they made? What is the wax type? How much fragrance load do you add per oz? All great questions! We can start with our candle wax blend! Our candles are blended with two totally different soy waxes made from different manufactures! True North Candle Company is probably in the minority who use two different manufactures soy wax and blend together. Why this process? As you see our candle tops they are smooth, no tunneling, no pitting, no adhesion and our process of blending was created to provide to give our customers the best burn pool and fragrance throw possible for there candle!
Our candle fragrance works awesome in both scenarios! As most candle manufactures will mention the term (scent throw) this refers to the release of fragrance from a candle. The cold throw is the scent released when a candle wax is cool and unlit. Hot throw is the scent released when the candle is burning and depending on candle wax type and fragrance load every candle’s cold and warm throw differ. Not all fragrances are created equal and we purchase candle fragrance’s and mix and match to create different ingredients in our candles. Our candles are made to adhere to the strict safety standards set by the International Fragrance Association and also we follow the National Candle Association candle safety standards.
Our candles wicks are ECO candle wick which is a flat cotton wick braided with thin paper threads that gives the wick a rigid structure without the need for a metal or lead core which creates a good burn stability that is an excellent choice for container soy candles.
